A family of four can spend more than $100 on a night at movies, after adding in concessions, tickets, and transportation. This is where dollar cinemas come in. Dollar theaters offer second-run films at a lower price. This makes it more affordable to see the movies for those on a strict budget. The prints might be worn or the sound may be damaged, but this does not affect the experience of watching the film. It's all we want now is escapism. And what better form of escapism than a schlocky horror comedy? "Day Shift," the perfect movie for such dark times, is It's raunchy, campy and full of cheap thrills. It's also quite timely. The film is set in a world where vampires have emerged from the shadows and now live peacefully among us. Jody, played by Vanessa Hudgens is the film's protagonist. But not all vampires can be treated equally. Jody has to decide between good vampires or bad vampires. She must deal with corrupt cops and nosy neighbors as she goes along. It's a wild ride, from beginning to finish, and exactly the type of mind-numbing entertainment that we need right now. Go ahead, stream Day Shift online on Netflix. You won’t regret it.

The opening act of the film is when Bud steps up his vampire hunting in order to earn $10,000 in less than a week. He is a Los Angeles pool-cleaner from the lower classes, who embarks on a hunt for vampires to steal their teeth and make money. Bud was mentored in the vampire hunters’ union by Big John Elliott, aka Snoopdogg. Bud was expelled for rule violations and disciplinarian measures. Bud's first act shows him stepping up his hunt for vampires in order to make $10,000 in a matter of weeks. Because of his efforts, he can re-join the union again and earn the respect from his mentor.

Bud and his daily financial woes are unaware of a plot being developed in the City of Angels. Audrey San Fernando (Karla Sauza) is the owner of an expanding real estate company. Despite being many centuries old, she looks great in the superbly fitted power suits that she wears. Although "Day Shift", or "The Shift", isn't subversive or particularly funny, it's a very nice joke to make the film’s most terrifying vampire a real property mogul. Audrey hopes to make Bud's neighborhood a safe haven from vampires and other bloodsuckers by buying many properties. After discovering that he was an elderly vampire who had killed her and pulled her teeth, she falls in love with his character. Although it's quite a campy movie, it's well worth watching if you like vampire movies or just want to see Karla Souza from a new perspective.

I'm not sure if Day Shift is a great movie but it's definitely entertaining. It falls into the category of movies that are stupid and trashy, dealing in classic tropes and cliches, and include a lot of placeholder speech. However, it's also skillfully constructed. Everyone in the cast does their best to give the impression that they know the joke. But, at the same time, it makes the situation appear completely ridiculous. While this is not a great example, it's still a very well-constructed one. Day Shift, a silly, fun movie, is worth a look.

Day Shift has the kind of movie that keeps you on the edge. This action-packed thrill ride is full of gore and will keep you coming back for more. The first half of the movie has familiar scenes that will leave you feeling like you've seen them before. However, don't be misled by the predictable nature of this movie. JJ Perry does an incredible job of keeping things fresh and exciting by drawing inspiration from some of the greats, such as The Exorcist, Sam Raimi's Evil Dead films, and 1980s Hong Kong kung fu pictures. Each fight in the film is well-executed and will leave you on edge of your seats. The drone shot in the middle of the movie is one my favorite and most beautiful visual moments. Day Shift is an action movie that you must see.

When Audrey's and Bud's stories begin to overlap, the movie really begins to find its feet. The perfect balance between gore, silly humor, gunplay and vehicle chases, as well as martial arts-influenced (check here) supernatural brawls is found here. You have to see the scene in which they fight zombies using motorcycles in a cemetery. It is amazing. The best part about it is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It's clear that the movie's makers had a lot of fun making it, and that joy is evident onscreen. Dead Seven is a film that's equal parts crazy, violent, funny, and just plain weird.

Foxx excels at every role, even Day Shift. He plays an ardent action hero in this movie that's reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger. His character is reminiscent the action movie genre. He is a badass, who can kill 10 enemies before they can take their guns from their holsters. Foxx's character is also a straight man who is somewhat puzzled by the events unfolding around him. This is a wonderful portrayal of the action film genre. Foxx is an excellent actor who clearly enjoys himself while portraying his character.

Seth is played in the movie by Dave Franco. Seth is a young vampire hunter. He starts to realize that this job is harder than it looks and that he may not be as brave as he thought. His mentor, Snoop dogg, is there to help him. He plays a character that looks a lot like Kris Kristofferson's in the "Blade" movies. Snoop, who looks great in Western gear, is a great comedian in this movie. Seth is able to be the vampire hunter that he has always wanted to be by his help.
